Fort Pierce, FL, Lodge members staffed the state association’s drug awareness trailer at the Fort Pierce Florida Christmas Parade and distributed 1,000 bags containing drug awareness literature and coloring books to people attending the parade.
u SUN CITY, AZ, Lodge members, accompanied by Elroy the Elk, visited the Sun City Youngtown Special Activity Center and discussed the importance of making healthy choices with 35 developmentally disabled clients of the center. Elroy gave each of the clients a patriotic sticker and a small gift, and lodge members gave the center a new wall clock. Daytona Beach, FL, Lodge donated more than 3,300 bags of drug aware- ness literature to elementary and middle schools to be distributed to students during Red Ribbon Week. Lodge members also participated in a Red Ribbon Drug Awareness event at Daytona State College and distributed 275 bags of drug awareness literature to students there. Additionally, lodge members staffed the state associa- tion’s drug awareness trailer at a Recovery Month 2010 event in City Island and distributed 425 bags of drug awareness literature to children and parents who attended the event.

u MISSION VIEJO-SADDLEBACK VALLEY, CA, Lodge members staffed a booth at the City of Mission Viejo’s 22nd annual Drug Awareness Red Ribbon Walk. Lodge members distributed US flags, drug awareness red ribbons, and pamphlets to many of the more than 1,500 parents and children who took part in the walk.
