A New Lodge Year—A New Beginning HE MONTH of March brings us both an ending and a begin-

ning. It brings the end of the 2009–2010 lodge year and the beginning of the 2010–2011 lodge year.

I would like to personally thank all of the outgoing lodge officers, who I know promoted Elks passion during their tour of duty. I hope that each one of you had a very successful year and that you were Loud, Proud, and Visible in sharing all of your lodge’s great works in service to others. It is so important that you continue to use your experience in assisting your lodge and that you help your lodge’s new officers show your community that Elks do care and share. With your help, your lodge will continue to grow and have the ability to help more veterans and to serve people who are less fortunate in our communities.

I congratulate all newly elected lodge officers and wish you a very successful year. You have the opportunity to set and meet goals of service to others and to promote Elks passion by both word and deed. I charge you to Be Proud, Be Loud, and Be Visible as you promote the

successful year.

I charge you to Be Proud, Be Loud, and Be Visible as you promote the programs of your lodge and those of the Grand Lodge. We must share all of our good works with members of our communities as well as everyone across this great nation. We must let everyone know who we are and what we do for veterans, children, and all of those we serve. If we all do this, our great Order will gain members and give us the opportunity to serve even more of those in need.
