El Cajon, CA, Lodge donated $100 and a $3,000 ENF Impact Grant to the East County Youth Symphony, a symphony for young musicians ages 8 to 25, following a performance at the lodge. David Lim, EMT Reggie Cervantes, and New York Fire Department Lt. Joe Torrillo.

Kamper Klub donated $1,750 and a pickup truckload of food to the Manna food bank, gave more than $1,350 to the lodge’s Christmas Food Basket Program, and contributed $750 to the Elks National Foundation.


Tulare, CA, Lodge held a Halloween Party for 30 people with special needs and their caregivers and treated the partygoers to snacks.


Oceano/Five Cities, CA, Lodge members distributed dictionaries to 60 third-grade students at St. Patrick’s Catholic Elementary School, Valley View Elementary School, and Coastal Christian School. In other news, the lodge donated $250 to the Pismo Beach Police Officers Association to help support the Thanksgiving dinner the association serves to the public.


In other news, the lodge, with the help of scouts from lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop Nos. 754 and 763, lodge-sponsored Cub Scout Pack No. 3763, and Girl Scout Troop No. 60960, held a Flag-Retirement Ceremony during which they respectfully

disposed of 30 damaged US flags. Lodge members also attended the Brownie Olympics, in which scouts from 36 Brownie troops competed in athletic events, and treated all of the competitors to lunch.

Vacaville, CA, Lodge members and ladies auxiliary members delivered 260 coffee mugs filled with hot chocolate, tea, and coffee to senior citizens at the Vacaville and Vallejo Senior Citizens Centers. In other news, lodge members distributed 1,800 dictionaries to third- grade students at 17 elementary schools in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.
