Port Orange, FL, Lodge members attended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Aaron Lilly, of Boy Scout Troop No. 477, and gave him a plaque. For his Eagle Scout Project, Lilly painted curbside house numbers in front of more than 600 houses in the subdivisions of Foxboro and Deep Forest.


In other news, lodge members participated in a community Muscular Dystrophy Lock Up telethon and raised $800 for the Muscular Dystro- phy Association.


St. Petersburg, FL, Lodge held its annual Children’s Christmas Party and treated more than 130 needy children to lunch, dessert, and a visit with Santa, who gave each child a toy as a present.


Sebring, FL, Lodge sent about eight care packages containing toiletries, games, and snacks to US troops serving overseas.


Vero Beach, FL, Lodge held a Food Drive, collected 12 large cartons of food, and donated them to a number of

charitable organizations in Indian River County. The lodge also donated more than $170 to the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum.


Zephyrhills, FL, Lodge donated $500 to Support the Troops to help the organization send care packages to US troops serving overseas.


Jerseyville, IL, Lodge donated educational packets about the service of veterans to 50 classes in Jersey and Calhoun County Schools on Veterans Day. The packets consisted of teacher’s guides and coloring books.


Bluffton, IN, Lodge members honored the memory of US Army PFC Chad D. Clements and presented his family with the Elks Medal of Valor in a solemn ceremony at the lodge. Private Clements was assigned to the 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division when he died in Afghanistan on August 30, 2010.


Columbus-Fort Benning, GA, Lodge held a Halloween Costume Party for more than 40 clients and staff members of ResCare, an organization that provides job training and educational support to people with developmental disabilities. Partygoers were treated to snacks, dessert, and musical entertainment.
