Brandon, FL, Lodge held its ninth annual Thanksgiving Dinner for more than 250 military personnel and family members of deployed military personnel from the MacDill Air Force Base. Lyndhurst, NJ, Lodge hosted a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Tyler Fitzsimons, of lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 97, and gave him a certificate and a US flag. For his Eagle Scout Project, Fitzsimons raised $1,700 for flooring, desks, and other materials and recruited volunteer electricians to re-wire the computer lab at Franklin School to allow it to accommodate additional new laptop computers. Bradenton, FL, Lodge donated $500 to the family of 21-year-old Kyle Alex- ander, who is recovering from a brain injury, to help them purchase an electric wheelchair.


North Penn, PA, Lodge held its third annual Art Auction fund-raiser and raised more than $900. Of these funds, $200 was donated to the state major project, the PA Elks Home Service Program, which provides in-home therapy to children with special needs, while the remaining $700 went to lodge charities.


Deep Creek, FL, Lodge held a Golf Tournament fund-raiser, in which 156 golfers participated, and raised more than $3,700 for local charities.


Deland, FL, Lodge members volun- teered to help staff the concession stands during a Deland High School football game.


Northwest District, PA, lodges held a Golf Scramble fund-raiser, with 62 golfers taking part, and raised nearly $3,200. Of these funds, nearly $2,700 was donated to the Elks National Foundation, and $500 was donated to the Pennsylvania Elks Legacy Trust Fund, which supports the state major project, the PA Elks Home Service Program, which provides in-home therapy to children with special needs.


State College, PA, Lodge members attended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Marc Mesko, of Boy Scout Troop No. 380, and gave him a certificate and a US flag. For his


East Central District, FL, lodges held a Poker Run for Kids and raised $825 for the Harry-Anna Trust Fund, which supports the state major projects, the Florida Elks Youth Camp and Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services, which provides in-home therapy to children with special needs. The district also held a second Poker Run, in which 48 riders took part, and raised $300 for the Harry-Anna Trust Fund, $100 for the Elks National Foundation, and more than $1,000 for Cudas Unhooked, an organization that supports at-risk youth at New Smyrna Beach High School.

Largo, FL, Lodge members distributed dictionaries to more than 380 third- grade students at Ponce de Leon, Mildred Helms, and Fuguitt Elemen- tary Schools.

Titusville, PA, Lodge PER Association held its third annual Cruise for Charity and Poker Run fund-raiser, in which 52 motorcycle riders took part, and raised more than $1,700 for Elks charities. The lodge also held a Golf Scramble fund-raiser, a Turkey Dinner fund-raiser, and several Sunday Brunch fund-raisers, which raised a total of $4,200 for the state major project, the PA Elks Home Service Program, which provides in- home therapy to children with special needs. Additionally, the lodge held a Chicken and Biscuit Dinner fund- raiser, which raised more than $300 for the Elks National Foundation, and donated an additional $900 to the Elks National Foundation.
