MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION & UPDATES


• Members must bring their Membership Card each time they visit the YMCA and swipe it to gain access.


• Loaned or expired cards will be confiscated. • Not following YMCA policies & procedures is grounds for membership termination without refund.


• Fitness Center orientations are required for all members. • Members must accompany guests at all times. • Tweens (ages 9-12) must complete orientation prior to participating in YExpress Circuit.


• Tweens (ages 9-12) using YExpress must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.


• The minimum age for all fitness classes, lap swim and Fitness Centers is 13 years of age, unless otherwise specified.


• All teens 13-17 are required to take a fitness orientation prior to using exercise centers.


• All teens 13-17 must wear membership badge while working out in any of the fitness areas.


• Teens 13-14 are not permitted in the Cross Training Center (CTC - free weight room).


• Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult when not involved in Y programs.


• Children ages 6+ must utilize appropriate gender locker rooms. • Lost or stolen cards must be reported. First-time replacement fee will be waived. A $15 fee will be charged for further replacement cards.


• Personal Training is a member service. Outside trainers are not allowed in the facility.


• "Holding" a membership for vacation, short-term illness, business, disability or pregnancy is not permitted.


• Insurance: The cost of health/accident insurance is not included in membership or program fees.


• Personal baby-sitting services are not authorized by YMCA employees. • The YMCA is not responsible for items lost or stolen while utilizing YMCA facilities/programs.


• Token operated lockers are available free of charge. • Closed-toe athletic shoes are required for use of all fitness equipment (cardio and strength) and fitness classes.


• SMOKING and/or DOGS are not permitted in the facility or on YMCA property.


• All requests for changes in membership accounts need to be done in writing.


• Family Changing Rooms are available for Family memberships only. • Policies and services are subject to change without notice in order to better meet the needs of YMCA members and participants.


MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION POLICY


Membership cancellation requests must be in writing 15 days prior to your draft date. You may complete a cancellation form in the membership office, fax or mail your request. If you do not receive a confirmation notice acknowledging receipt of your request, it is your responsibility to follow-up with our Membership Office.


RETURNED CHECK/BANK DRAFT POLICY


There is a $20 fee for all returned checks or returned bank drafts. You will be notified by mail or email for all membership or program returns. Membership Returns: Memberships are placed on hold and facility usage will not be permitted until payment is received. your membership will be cancelled if payment is not received by the next billing cycle. Program Returns: You will not be permitted to participate in the program until payment is received. Credit Card Drafts: If your expiration date changes, please contact us to update your account.


PROGRAM ENROLLMENT


Registration for programs may be done at Friars Road, Hazard Center and Toby Wells facilities. To avoid late fees and to provide safe student/teacher ratios, advance registration is recommended for all programs. Space is limited. The fee must be paid in full prior to the start of class. Check website for real-time slot availability.


LOST & FOUND POLICY


The Mission Valley YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. All items turned in to the Welcome Center will be held for two weeks. If not claimed, the items will then be donated. Please check at the Welcome Center for lost items.


• DON’T LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR OR UNSECURED IN THE LOCKER ROOMS.


• We recommend using a key lock, not a combination lock
