RUNNING 101 CLASS For Beginning Runners


Join us and learn the fundamentals of effective running including proper form, technique, and breathing. Train to complete your first 5K or make the most of your treadmill workout. This class, taught by a certified Personal Trainer and experienced runner, is for you.

SPECIAL POPULATIONS - PARKINSON’S (P.L.L.U.S.) CLASSES (Parkinsonians Learning Lifelong Useful Skills) Exercise for Parkinsonians. Maximize flexibility, posture and functional mobility in participants with Parkinson’s Disease. A combination of warm-up exercises and joint flexibility movements, cardiovascular segment, and light strength training for the upper and lower body. Caregivers are welcome.

RUNNING CLUB Half-Marathon Training Whether you want to train for a Half Marathon or just run to have fun, this club is for you. With the help of expert coaches and our official sponsor, the San Diego Running Institute, the YMCA running club will educate you about proper running technique and equipment, teach you how to avoid injuries, and provide regularly scheduled training runs.
