SWIM TEAM - SEALS Ages 6 and up

Mini-Seals - This is the first stage of our novice developmental group of the YMCA Seals Swim Team. Swimmers are introduced to all the fundamentals of competitive swimming by our positive and encouraging coaches. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters of crawl stroke and 25 meters of backstroke. Swimmers will begin to build endurance and improve their skills in all four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Swimmers are encouraged to attend as many practice sessions as possible, but attendance is not mandatory. We host beginner/novice level swim meets to provide the swimmers an opportunity to have fun while utilizing their newly developed swimming skills.
