SKATE PARK
KRAUSE FAMILY SKATE & BIKE PARK 3401 Clairemont Drive, 92117, 619-279-9254 With brand new rails, jump boxes, gaps, quarter pipes, and skatelite, our park is a blast for skateboards, BMX, rollerblades, and scooters! Here at the park we strive to provide a fun and positive environment for children and adults to come and enjoy their need for extreme sports. Several professional athletes practice here regularly, but this park is open and available for people of all ages and skills to enjoy. Our facilities include a concrete pool, beginner course, mini-ramps, intermediate course, advanced BMX course, and the 2006 X-Games Vert Ramp, all on a 55,000 sq. ft. lot. There is so much to enjoy, so pad up and get on over to the park!

Monday - Friday
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (or until dark)

Due to Daylight Savings, there will NOT be a 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. session after November 6, 2011.
Limited number of bikers are allowed into session for safety reasons; to be determined by staff.
Requirements
All participants MUST have all registration forms completed, including a signed medical release form. NOTE: if under 18, parent signature required in person or notarized. Safety Equipment: Helmet, elbow and knee pads with hard plastic exterior are required/mandatory! We DO NOT rent safety equipment.
Private Skate Instruction Your child will be taught how to perfect existing abilities and learn new cutting edge tricks and skills either in a group setting or one-on-one with a personal skate coach. Private instruction is by appointment only. Contact the skate park at 619-279-9254.

Birthday Parties We book birthday parties on a first come, first serve basis. FEE: $150 for up to 10 riders; $10 for every rider over that (i.e.: 12 riders = $170.) Available Saturday mornings, 8:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Nonrefundable deposit of $50. It’s safe, fun and you get the park to yourselves! Staff skate with kids and do basic skate clinic (good for kids). Clash at Clairemont For the past five years, Mission Valley YMCA has teamed with the Grind for Life Foundation to bring you “Clash at Clairemont” - the skate and BMX event of the year at Krause Family Skate & Bike Park! Thanks to a number of generous sponsors and pro skater Andy Macdonald, this event features some of extreme sports’ biggest names, including Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Andy Macdonald, and many more.
