A typical crew race is 2,000 meters lasting 5½ to 8 minutes and requiring strength, power, and endurance. T e crew season begins in the fall with preseason training. Winter is a time of intense training and muscle building, whereas the spring racing season is known for its long daily practices leading up to a rest day and weekend competition.
