information and data In this unit, students focus on some of the fundamentals of information and data. The skills focus is on preparing for listening and making notes. Over the four lessons, students practise preparing for and then listening to two short lectures. The first introduces the students to different types of data and data standards, and the second looks at some of these in more depth. Students work together to build a set of notes and practise language for asking for information. There is also a focus on identifying stress patterns in multisyllable words; and students have opportunities to practise using their dictionaries.
