INSIGHT VIRTUAL SPORTS - BETCONSTRUCT

What is the role of virtual sports in the online betting ecosystem?

Virtual sports are always available whereas real-life sports are sometimes unavailable to place bets upon, because they are played seasonally. Furthermore, these events do not take place constantly throughout the day. As a consequence, bettors have to plan their bets according to event availability.

Conversely, virtual sports are running 24/7 and players don't have to wait for long for results. If a customer wants to bet on football matches at midnight, virtual sports offer that opportunity.

Te best demonstration of the importance of virtual games was during the pandemic when almost all the sports events were postponed or cancelled. Virtuals helped operators to keep their businesses alive and provide players with a sports betting experience.

Virtual sports can engage a vast audience, from sportsbook punters to esports and casino players - and the demand for virtual sports is constantly growing.

BetConstruct offers nine virtual sports. Which is the most popular, and is this consistent across different global markets?

Te preferences of users are different based on markets. Te demand for different types of sport differs based on region, and thus the demand for virtual sports is differentiated too. Te most popular game on the BetConstruct platform is virtual football and virtual penalty kicks, but in some regions racing titles are more popular.

Outside of the traditionally popular virtual sports, BetConstruct has developed Virtual Bicycle, Marble Racing, Drag Racing, and Tennis. What was the rationale for offering these titles? What do they bring to BetConstruct’s virtual sports suite?

User demands are changing very rapidly and people always require some fresh games not to get bored playing the same virtual sports. Based on our research, we found these games would be interesting for users to see in our portfolio.

For instance, our virtual live tennis allows players to make live bets, not just pre-match, which in turn allows players to cash out their bets during the match. Offered virtual live sports in the industry are not so common, but some types of sports need live betting to offer players a complete experience.

What types of statistical analysis do BetConstruct’s virtual sports titles offer?

For a better experience, BetConstruct gives players the ability to check the results of previous matches and races so they can place bets based on prior results. Head-to-head statistics up to the last 20 matches are available on virtual live tennis and the data is dynamically updated immediately after each match.

P46 WIRE / PULSE / INSIGHT / REPORTS

“Initially, virtual sports were based on hand-drawn 3D animations, but now developers have switched from this to motion capture

technologies which allow for more realistic animations.

However, in some markets where the internet traffic is costly or the quality of the

connection is low, they have to give up the stream.”
