From Online Spin to Cabinet Win Pateplay’s Cross-Channel Ambitions
Pateplay, headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria and established in 2022 - is tackling one of the persistent friction points in the gaming industry: the divide between sleek online game mechanics and the slower-moving land-based cabinet world.
Sitting in front of a row of sleek cabinets on the Pateplay stand at SiGMA Central Europe, CEO Georgi Aleksandrov explains that one of the qualities that differentiates this young company from the plethora of others exhibiting nearby is the ability to transfer iGaming products into land-based games at incredible speed. Georgi makes the striking claim that the business’ technology can achieve this “within seconds”.
“For many companies it takes between six months and two years to transfer a game from iGaming onto a cabinet. In a sense we were lucky because our company is very young. Te tech is very innovative so we’re capable of literally transferring a game from online to land-based in seconds.”
Seconds may sound hyperbolic, but it signals the ambition. Visitors to the Pateplay booth, he says simply, can “see for themselves the same games on the cabinet and the screen.”
In the world of online slots and land-based casino hardware, the tempo and sensory experience are entirely different. Georgi puts it plainly: “When a player sits down on their phone the focus and time session is different. When you translate a product built for a mobile phone onto an 85ins. screen the details matter because everything is multiple times bigger.”
For Pateplay's team of designers, the challenge is not just transposing a game from one medium to another but re-designing it so that it holds up in a big-screen, physical environment where lighting, sound, social dynamics and expectations change.
It’s a subtle problem: many studios deliver online-only content, or hardware vendors deliver cabinets with legacy games. It’s rare to find a provider explicitly melding both in streamlined fashion.

Pateplay positions itself as doing just that: uniting three huge product lines - slot games, live casino games and land-based products under one roof. Tis gives the company an edge, but it's not its biggest USP explains Georgi.

Tis mix of youthful talent (a self-acknowledged "young" CEO with a team of developers aged 21–24) with deep ownership industry experience forms the backbone of Pateplay's proposition.
On the content front, Pateplay’s portfolio is already substantial: approximately 70 video slots, live casino titles and electronic gaming machines for land-based operations. Slots such as Sevens Heat 40, Red Fate 40, Scorching Reels 100, and Gummy Rain x1000 are part of the catalogue as well as engagement tools such as four-level jackpots, leaderboard mechanics, “gamble games” and extra cash mystery features.
In live casino the roadmap is also clear, as Georgi explains. “For the next year we must get to the basics. We currently have Automatic Roulette and Manual Roulette, with Blackjack and Baccarat upcoming. Our approach with live casino is trying to get some innovation and make something completely different because if we try to go on everybody’s well-trodden path, I doubt that we will make anything big.”
