employee development, community impact, regulation and innovation. Hearing first-hand from peers operating in different jurisdictions, with different regulatory regimes and cultures, made me appreciate the broader social and economic role our industry can play. I carry that understanding with me.

Edith: Absolutely. EDP reinforced how quickly the industry is evolving - not just in technology or regulation, but in terms of guest expectations, social responsibility, and community engagement. For me (working at JOA), it underscored our commitment to responsible gaming, operational excellence and a welcoming spirit. I now view the casino not just as a gaming venue, but as part of a larger hospitality and social ecosystem: where entertainment, community, technology and responsibility must work hand in hand.

How will you apply what you learned at EDP in your daily role?

Edith: I’m staying true to my collaborative, people-focused leadership style — but now with sharper clarity on industry trends, regulation, technology and social impact. I plan to guide my team with more empathy and purpose, helping them understand how their work fits into a broader vision. And I intend to double down on community- oriented initiatives: extending our commitment beyond the casino floor to social responsibility, education and inclusive development.

Natasa: EDP helped me step out of day-to-day execution mode and adopt a strategic mindset. In procurement, instead of just managing tasks, I now focus on clarity of purpose — helping colleagues understand why we do things a certain way, not just what to do. When purpose is clear, alignment and accountability follow naturally. I’m also more curious and proactive about innovation, trends and technology. Continuous learning is no longer optional — it’s essential.

Would you recommend EDP - and how important do you feel the ECA scholarship is in providing this opportunity?

Natasa: Yes - without hesitation. Especially for professionals who are ambitious, curious about the future of gaming, or seeking a meaningful reset. I’m sincerely grateful to my employer and to the scholarship that enabled me to attend. It’s more than financial support — it’s a vote of trust in your potential, and that stays with you.

Edith: Te scholarship opened the door to a world-class programme that can reshape how you see your career - and yourself. Te access to top-tier teaching, global perspectives and a network of passionate professionals is something that stays with you long after the programme ends. If you want to grow, understand where the industry is headed, or undergo a personal and professional transformation - EDP is a remarkable gift. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
