EDP is a truly powerful and unique programme within the global gaming industry. There is nothing else quite like it. The programme not only develops future leaders but genuinely transforms people, broadening their thinking, shaping their mindset, and giving them the confidence and capability to grow. As the gaming sector continues to evolve and become more complex, we increasingly need leaders who can think differently and look beyond traditional land-based casino structures and strategies. Leadership today requires a deep understanding of both business performance and people, and EDP delivers that balance exceptionally well. The ECA is proud to collaborate with the EDP and to help support rising talent through its scholarship programme. Supporting stars like Edith and Natasa reflects our commitment to fostering diversity, which is essential for the industry’s long-term success and innovation. It was both an honour and a pleasure to return to EDP this year as a speaker. In my presentation I focused on major changes shaping the European gaming market-from increasing regulatory pressures to the rapid growth of online gaming, licensed and unlicensed, as well as the accelerating pace of mergers and acquisitions. These developments are reshaping our industry faster than ever before, and it is vital for future leaders to understand the broader landscape. As a practical case example, I also had the chance to showcase Veikkaus’ international expansion through Fennica Gaming, and the overall past and ongoing historical transformation in Finnish gaming industry. It was inspiring to see how EDP continues to empower leaders and strengthen the future of our industry.
