Great observation, and you’re correct, it is a single bet game. In fact, this is the only single bet game in the company. It took a lot of design discipline not to add a side bet. We are certainly no stranger to side bets, but in the case of this game we wanted to focus all the player’s attention on one, singular event. Tat event is getting green balls and, if you can dream, a gold ball.


To add side bets would have detracted from this and we wanted something so simple that even grandma could understand it. It was not so much demographics that shaped this, it was that with the decisions players already have plenty to think about.


Where does Cash or Crash sit within your all- time favourites, from the game you flogged


around your local neighbourhood as a child through to Crazy Time and MONOPOLY Live?


Well, since it’s new it’s right up there at the top. Te most recent game is almost always my favourite. I know that sounds like a father who doesn’t want to name his favourite child, but in this case, I always have the most energy and excitement around the most current game.


Pretty quickly Cash or Crash will become number two, and the next newest game will become number one. With that said, I think this game is always going to be one of my favourites because it is just so incredibly intense.


Could you tell us more about the next game show to roll off the Evolution product line?


Sure, it’s sort of a hybrid game show but it is Lightning Blackjack. It is high time that we brought the lightning brand to the player favourite Blackjack. It took years to do this because we kept throwing ideas in the trash.


Tey all seemed like weird derivations of Blackjack and sort of stripped the true essence of Blackjack out of the game. What we have ended up with is a beautiful game that gives players the opportunity to have big wins whilst still playing the game the way it was originally intended. And I think players are going to love it.


With any new game there’s a speck of worry – will they understand it, will it come


across in the right way? Here, players immediately got it. These strategy-type games are different from anything


we’ve done before but it gets tonnes of players, there’s all kinds of great activity on


YouTube and Twitch, and they immediately understood the drama that the game brings.
