PCIM Asia is an interna- tional exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy man- agement. Completing its 18th event on

June 28, 2019, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Con - vention Center, the fair attracted a total of 81 exhibitors who showcased their latest innovations across 75,347 ft2 (7,000 m2) of exhibition space. TEMPO will help intensify col-

laboration between the most impor- tant semiconductor companies and the largest European microelectron- ics research institutes. The EuroPAT-MASIP project

for planning innovative processes for complex electronics systems is also aimed at strengthening the semicon- ductor industry in Europe, and pro- ductronica exhibitor BE Semicon - ductor Industries from the Nether - lands is involved as well. As a result of the close coopera-

tion between SEMICON Europa and productronica, after the successful premiere in 2017, visitors to the trade fair this year can expect to see every- thing that the industry has to offer. In addition to semiconductor production, this includes the manufacture of dis- plays, LEDs, and discrete compo- nents, as well as photovoltaics, micro- nano, material processing, and clean- room technology. Industry represen- tatives will also benefit from an exten- sive supporting program with high- quality conferences. Contact: Messe München

Automotive, Huawei, LG Electronics, Midea, Philips Lighting, SAIC-GM, Siemens Medical Equipment, and UAES. Moreover, representatives from industry groups, such as the Shanghai Electronic Manufacturers Industrial Association and the Shanghai LED Engineering and Technology Association, also attended the trade show. This year, the show introduced

a brand-new E-automation zone to showcase how power electronics products are applied in the field of automation. The university zone was

another new feature of this year’s show. Composed of several well- known universities, the zone was established to share research results and application potential. In addition to these areas, the E-mobility zone also returned to PCIM Asia for the second year to help address the chal- lenges in four different aspects relat- ed to electric vehicles, including power trains, smart battery manage- ment, onboard chargers and DC-DC converters. Apart from the exhibition sec- tion, the PCIM Asia Conference also
