Page 27 ULT Releases New Laser Fume Extraction Unit

Mequon, WI — The LAS 200.1 laser fume extractor is the latest member of ULT’s new product gener- ation ULT 200.1. The compact, mobile system has a new filtration design that significantly increases pollutant separation efficiency. A newly designed pre-filter package, includ-

ing filter mat and panel filter enables a consider- ably longer filter life, which results in significant, long-term cost savings. A coarse dust and fine dust filter according to ISO 16890 standard require- ments increase the H14 main filter’s durability. The HEPA filter, which meets DIN EN 1822 re- quirements, is offered in combination with an ad- sorption filter for a further increase of the main fil- ter’s separation rate greater than 99.995 percent. The laser fume extractor’s modularity pro-

vides high flexibility in regards to changing process conditions, as the unit can be equipped with additional filter modules if required. The LAS 200.1 unit can be combined with var- ious capturing elements, such as ex- traction arms or hoses/tubes (DN 50, 75, 80), enabling pollutant removal at up to four individual workplaces. The ecoflow CS® technology in-

ACL Saticide Introduces Digital Megohmmeter

Chicago, IL — ACL Staticide® has in- troduced the #880 digital megohm- meter to its line of static control in- struments. Designed to be used specifically electrostatic protected areas (EPA) for testing static dissipa- tive surfaces, this digital megohm- meter is highly accurate and depend- able for point-to-point (RTT) and re- sistance-to-ground (RTG) compliance verification and qualification assess- ments. Results are shown on the meter in numeric value within 10e3

pending on the number of extraction points. Due to the integrated vacuum stabilization and selectable pressure ranges, the unit’s extraction performance is adaptable flexibly to the required pollutant cap- turing. In addition, the ecoflow CS technology can automatically compensate for pressure losses caused by loaded filters. An integrated M12 interface enables commu-

nication with laser processing systems. This way, the fume extractor can be run during active use of a laser system, reducing costs. Another added value is the extensive range of original accessory parts, specially designed for the ULT-200.1 series. Users can then save time searching for accessories and adaptations to specific pollutant capturing en-

vironments. Contact: ULT, LLC, 6000 W. Executive Drive,

to 10e12 ohms. Shielding cables en- hance reliability with high accuracy even at the outer ranges. The digital megohmmeter is

able to apply 10 and 100V manually or automatically. Each audit kit con- tains two calibrated, 5 lb (2.27 kg) electrodes, two heavy-duty shielded cables, one 9V battery, a foam-lined carrying case, and a calibration cer- tificate. Suitable for any environment

using static control materials, the in- strument is effective in several appli- cations, including electrical device manufacturing, EPA audits, mainte- nance checks, quality control and in- coming inspection, and static control
