August, 2019 iTAC Intros Next-Gen MES and Workbench
Southfield, MI — iTAC Software AG has launched a new version of its manufacturing ex- ecution system (MES)
software. The
iTAC.MES.Suite 9.20.00 supports companies in increasing the transparency and efficiency of manufacturing processes. Among other things, the MES includes new features for advanced planning and scheduling of orders, as well as the control and automation of processes. The release also marks the launch of
iTAC.Workbench, a browser-based framework for integrating any HTML5-compliant applica- tions. The
iTAC.Workbench is designed to con- solidate the variety of iTAC and customer-spe- cific applications. In addition, the framework of- fers generic integration of new applications through iTAC’s plugin technology. The overall goal is to efficiently support employees with all the information they need to carry out their
work. With the new operating concept, all pos- sible subsequent steps can be made available to the employee with only a few clicks. Efficient MES-based manufacturing also
includes detailed order planning. The
iTAC.MES.Suite has been offering an APS (ad- vanced planning and scheduling) service for several years. The new release supports transmission
and detailed order planning, based on several production versions in the APS service. When scheduling an order, the APS service will con- sider the available, valid production versions for the product in question and select these so that the order is scheduled according to the tar-
