Page 77 Medical-Grade Isolation Transformers From Bridgeport

Shelton, CT — Bridgeport Magnetics Group has announced that all power ratings of its ISO-PUCK series of medical-grade transformers are now available epoxy potted inside poly-

ISO-PUCK transformers are

available for either 60 Hz or 50/60 Hz frequency operation, allowing installa- tion overseas or south of the border. For U.S. and Canadian applications, the enclosed transformers are avail- able with NEMA5 plugs for 15 or 20A. For other markets, appropriate plugs are available. A wide choice of recepta- cles are available besides the NEMA series, including IEC connectors and hospital-grade power strips. The stan- dard cord length is 2 ft (30 cm) and is available in longer lengths. The ISO-PUCK may be mount-

ed on a wall or on a cart, where leak- age current from computers, printers or medical devices may exceed the

maximum allowed value in operating rooms and patient care areas caused by frayed and aging insulation. The new portable ISO-PUCK

tower is equipped with a medical- grade four or six-outlet power strip and a 20 ft (6.1m) cord with NEMA plug to allow the tower to be moved inside the room. All ISO-PUCK trans- formers are certified to the third edi- tion of the medical safety standard IEC60601.1 and its equivalent ANSI(UL), CSA and EN standards. This certification also includes Bridgeport Magnetics’ bare transform- ers with no enclosures up to 6,000 VA. To eliminate the risk of haz- ardous and life-threatening leakage

current (also called touch current), the medical safety standards limit the touch current to 100 µA with grounds lifted for fixed equipment. For portable equipment, the current will not exceed 500 µA with the ground wire disconnected. The principle requirement in

the third edition is its emphasis on the manufacturer to maintain a risk management file as specified in ISO14971 to ensure long-term prod-

uct reliability and safety. Contact: Bridgeport Magnetics,

from 3,400 to 3,600 MHz. The 0.4 in. (10 mm) package size reportedly occupies up to 50 percent less board space than competitive products without compromising functionality, making them suitable for 5G massive MIMO and small cell applications. Rated at maximum average

power up to 20W and peak power of 160W, the SKYFR-001692 plays a critical role in protecting RF ele- ments from excessive signal reflec- tion, helping to eliminate perform- ance risks and safeguard vital equip- ment. Maximum insertion loss at

room temperature is only 0.19 dB. Contact: RFMW, Ltd., 188
