Page 75 Sensoray Offers PCIe Analog and Digital I/O System

Tigard, OR — Sensoray’s Model 826 is a versatile analog and digital I/O sys- tem on a PCIe board. Features include: six 32-bit counters that support incre- mental encoders, PWM/pulse genera- tion and frequency/period/pulse meas- urement; 16 differential analog inputs, 16-bit, 300 ks/s; eight analog output, 16-bit, 900 ks/s; 48 digital I/Os with edge detection; multistage watchdog timer with final-stage relay; a fail-safe output controller; and drivers and standardized APIs are available for Linux and Windows. The advanced counter architec-

ture includes event FIFOs, which guarantee critical system events are never missed. Also, frequency meas- urements require only one counter, saving other counters for additional tasks. High performance, its compact size and abundant resources make the Model 826 excellent for a wide range of measurement and control applications. The company has a new Model

C&K’s Tactile Switches Meet Automotive Demand

Waltham, MA — C&K has launched its KSC XA tactile switch, designed for automotive interior and opening applications. The new switch has a smaller form factor than existing competitive products that deliver the required sound and haptic feedback. It is provided in a 0.24 x 0.24 x 0.19 in. (6.2 x 6.2 x 4.9 mm) package, making it suitable for such applica- tions as steering wheels or gear shift paddles.

827 board in development, a low-pro- file PCIe board with 48 GPIO (24 TTL and 24 RS-422). It is designed to pro-

vide eight analog outputs, 16 differen- tial analog inputs, eight timer/counter with quadrature decode/encode,

watchdog, and a fail-safe system. All analog I/Os have programmable ranges identical to those of Model 826 (± 1, 2, 5, and 10V). Model 827’s counters and other

interfaces have expanded functional- ity. This includes buffered GPIO edge captures with timestamps, as well as facilities for analog waveform capture and arbitrary waveform gen- eration. The board’s timebase can phase-lock to a precision external timing signal to eliminate timestamp drift and timestamps can be synchro-

nized across multiple 827 boards. Contact: Sensoray, 7313 S.W.

making it well-suited to cars from mul- tiple manufacturers. It is based on the company’s well-established KSC range of switches, which allows it to be lower cost than competitive products. Operating life is up to 1,000,000

cycles, delivering improved reliabili- ty for automotive applications. The switch is housed in an extended cage, is fully sealed and is compatible with potting, which is often used in open- ing applications. These capabilities have helped

it to achieve IP67 rating for resist- ance to dust and moisture, enabling it to withstand the extreme environ- mental conditions and exposure to water that are often experienced in automotive applications. The switch includes a hard

actuator with a stable and large actuation surface, which makes it compatible with all styles of cus- tomer buttons. It is constructed with a new over-molding configuration

combined with a new silicon wafer. Contact: C&K, 15 Riverdale
