Roundway, Seend, Stert, Urchfont, West Lavington and Worton. Year- round events include festivals and carnivals in summer.

Tis historic village has one of the oldest timber-framed dwellings in England, the 15th century Porch House. West Lavington is the next stop, before the rolling two hundred square miles of Salisbury Plain. Nearby Rowde has good amenities including the George & Dragon pub and an ice-cream parlour.
A pub and restaurant with accommodation, THE GEORGE &
DRAGON traditional sixteenth century coaching inn, combines modern day style with bundles of country character. They offer that little bit extra for guests including friendly, professional hospitality at affordable prices. Whether it’s a relaxing pint in front of the fire, a treat in the restaurant, a night away from it all or a bottle of Rosé in the garden, The George & Dragon is the perfect choice.
Trowbridge Tis is a busy town for commerce, but also a fun place to visit. Tere is a modern library, golf courses and a town trail, with the mills and the mill owners’ houses. Events include the annual Arts Festival, Armed Forces Weekend, Sports Festival, Country Fair and the biennial Cloth Road Arts event, alternating with the museum’s Textile and Weaving Festival.
Places of interest are:
Trowbridge Museum - with history of the woollen industry, and a working loom.
Green Lane Wood - ancient woodlands east of the town.
Kennet & Avon canal - fishing and cruises on hired barges are major attractions.
Hope Nature Centre - at Southwick Country Park on the A361.
The HOPE NATURE CENTRE is a
registered charity created for adults with learning difficulties, who help run Squirrels Tearoom and Animal Park. The Animal Park, containing a variety of animals from Alpacas to Parrots, is set in 15 acres of attractive grounds. Tel: 01225 759075
