Sturminster Newton A small ancient market town with a museum and the Sturminster Newton Mill. During September there’s fun for all at the largest Cheese Festival in Dorset. Te beautiful River Stour offers over ten miles of fishing, and nearby Bulbarrow Hill is the second highest point in Dorset and a popular beauty spot.

MILL is just 300 yards from a fine mediaeval six-arched bridge. The Mill provides a unique opportunity to journey back to a simpler time, where you and your family can discover the age-old secrets of harnessing natural power amidst the tranquil beauty of the Dorset countryside. Te beauty spots of Turnworth Down, Ibberton Hill and Lulbarrow reside in the Oakford villages’ area.

Yetminster Boasts the Minster of St Andrew, where the bells of the 300 year old faceless clock chime the National Anthem.
Stalbridge Te smallest town in Dorset, home to one of the best-preserved Market Crosses in the south of England.

Sherborne A central town with excellent transport links, gardens and medieval buildings such as the Almshouse of St John the Baptist and St John the Evangelist, the 15th century Conduit House, the Julian, the impressive Sherborne Abbey. Te Castle and its gardens host country fairs, classic car rallies and sporting events, and has a miniature railway and an iconic band-stand. Te museum has local artefacts, and the nearby Purse Candle and Sandford Orcas Manors are worth a visit.

Te Toy Barn shop has the largest outdoor play equipment and climbing frame display area in the South West of England.

Shaftesbury Tere are historic buildings including the famed Abbey, and Gold Hill’s pretty thatched cottages are picturesque with Blackmore Vale in the distance. Annual events are the Gold Hill Fair in July and the Shaftesbury Carnival in October. Old Wardour Castle, Kingsette, Duncliffe and Brookland woods are all just a few miles away and well worth visiting.
