Camelford

Tis central locale is great for touring, walking, fishing and exploring beaches and Bodmin Moor. Places of interest include the North Cornwall Museum and Art gallery and Cornwall’s second highest point, Rough Tor, which has excellent rambling opportunities and a monument to Charlotte Dymond. Charlotte’s murdered body was found near Rough Tor Ford and her boyfriend Matthew Weeks was later tried for the murder in 1844. At the Courtroom Experience in Bodmin visitors can join in recreations of the trial. Nearby, Davidstow Airfield is home to the Cornwall at War Museum.
