Woody Bay Access is via a steep path through the woods to the rocky pebble and shingle beach. It is a secluded hidden gem for dog walkers due to its location on the South West Coast path.

At Countisbury, located in the heart of the country’s most spectacular


hiking and walking trails on Exmoor, is THE BLUE BALL INN. This traditional inn offers a relaxing stay and is the starting point for seven circular walks through stunning countryside. Horse riding for experienced riders or complete novices can be arranged. There is ample parking. Dogs, children and walkers are very welcome. The Inn has a growing reputation for providing real ale, fine wines and good food which is served from 12 noon to 3pm and from 6pm till 9pm on weekdays throughout the winter. During the summer and on weekends food is served from 12 noon till 9pm.
