Lizard Point Here you reach the sea, and the path near Lizard Station leads to the Lion’s Den collapsed sea-cave. Lizard Point to Housel Bay and Church Cove offer spectacular views.


Pentreath Pentreath beach provides a strip of sand, pebbles and rocks, and Caerthillian Cove is popular with coast walkers. Nearby, Kynance Cove is one of the prettiest and most painted coves in Cornwall.


Mullion Manaccan


A village south of Falmouth, with wooded lanes leading to Gillan Creek and Helford River. Duck races and summer beach parties are some of the events at Porthallow Cove on the coast. Tere are walks to Nare Head and Nare Point, and Helford and Fal river mouths offer magnificent views.


St Keverne Hosts band concerts and an annual Ox Roast.

Tregellast Barton Has lakeside and woodland nature trails.


Porthoustock Provides a sand and shingle beach, parking and toilets, and has a signed inland route through the workings of the former St Keverne Quarry.


Coverack Further south, a village with a beach, shops and eateries serving Cornish fare. Entertainment includes the Coverack Singers, beach barbeques, carnival, regatta, Lifeboat Day and art club exhibitions.


Kennack Sands Two fine sandy beaches offering safe bathing and challenging surf. Divers can explore the numerous reefs and wrecks along this coast.

narrow streets, follow the Town Trail and visit the Helston Museum.


Events and activities abound! In May the whole town dances through the streets for the famous ‘Furry Dance’ on Flora Day, in June, Freedom Parade celebrates the pride of the local military personnel and there is the Harvest Fayre in September. Tere is a nearby theme park, weekly markets, theatre, music, a golf club and one of the few boating lakes in the county.


For horse riding lessons, horse riding on the beach, swimming in a heated pool and more try the NEWTON EQUESTRIAN CENTRE at the Newton Livery.
