Curry Rivel Tis attractive village has several interesting shops and a church dating from 15th century. Burton Pynsent monument overlooks the site of the battle of Sedgemoor and the RSPB has a reserve at nearby Swell. Stoke St Gregory is set on a sandstone ridge very near to the geographical centre of Somerset between Curry Moor, which carries the River Tone to its confluence with the River Parrett, and West Sedgemoor. Tis area with its thousands of resident and migrant birds, and home to the Willow and Wetland Visitor Centre, is ideal for twitchers.
Cheddon Fitzpaine Situated on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills, with extensive views over the Vale of Taunton to the Blackdown Hills. It is home to Hestercombe Gardens, a must to visit with the Spectacular Great Cascade, the restored 18th century Octagon Summerhouse, lakes and more.
Taunton A major rural town with shops, regular markets, pubs, eateries and parks, museums, galleries, Taunton Castle, the Museum of Somerset
and Castle House. For sports, Taunton has a racecourse, Somerset Cricket Club, bowling, tennis and football, and is renowned for golf. Tere is also horse riding, bird watching, picnic areas and the circular Heritage Trail, plus many more organised walks.

Te claim to fame here is an impressive Duke of Wellington monument standing high on the spur of the Blackdown Hills. A farmers market is held every third
Saturday of the month and there are many food pubs. Being just a minute off the M5 it is an ideal ‘stop off’ from the motorway. A new attraction is the Somerset Flip Out Trampoline Park, located in the Chelston Business Park.
Churchinford
A small, quiet, picturesque village set within the beautiful Blackdown Hills, ideally situated for touring the West Country, with Honiton nearby and the coasts less than an hour away by car. Trout and course fishing is available at the Fishponds and Otterhead lakes.
