East Cork Darts Association

The East Cork Darts Association have

now

reached the finals af- ter a cracking night of semi-final action. In the Hennessey’s Bar Premier Division table toppers Colbert’s Bar continued their pursuit of glory with a comprehensive display against the Two Mile Inn. Dan Twomey and Mick

Casey pushed Colbert’s into an early lead before Michael Byrne closed out the game for Colbert’s for a 5-0 win. Colbert’s will now

face reigning champi- ons Hennessey’s A in the final. Hennessey’s A jumped into an early lead with solid play from Chris O’Connell and

Liam Faul. Donie Kelle- her helped bring Harty’s back into the game before Hennessey’s closed out a 5-2 win to set up a crack- ing final. In the Long Point Divi-

Sweeney got the wins to bring the Long Point back into the game to ensure their place in the final. In the final the Long

Point will now face into JDS who came through a cracker with the Corner House. The match went down to the final match as JDs came through 5-4. Paddy Quinn Jnr gave the Corner House an early lead in a cracking match with Mick Holmes before dominant displays from Anthony Russell and

James Howes for JDs saw them open up a 4-2 lead at one point. Phil Smyth for the Corner House brought the match level before Brendan Reilly closed out the match with a solid display to move JDs into the final. In the Gaelic Bar Di-

Lismore Ladies Golf Club

Sunday the 10th December

we had our Christmas Party and our Lady Captain Mary Ahern’s first presentation, we had some finger food and desserts to start and some chat and drink, mainly hot ones as the night was so cold! Then we had the presenta- tion of prizes, it was fantastic to see so many of our ladies

out supporting their new Lady Captain. Great to see a mixture of long standing members and new ones. Lady Captain Mary wel-

comed us all and handed out a beautiful array of prizes to the deserving winners. Mag Morrissey was thrilled to have picked up her Christ- mas hamper - very kindly

sponsored by Roche’s Cen- tra Lismore, which she had won back in October! Daph- ne Power and our President Sheila were also extremely happy with their hampers for 2nd

and 3rd place respective-

ly. Our sincere thanks to our Sponsor Roche’s Centra. The league prizes were

handed out and second place went to Team E lead by the individual winner Helen Farrow, and the winners of the league Team F lead very ably by Brid Henry. Brid thanked her great team for the effort they all put in over

the 6 rounds. They surprised themselves in the final week with their blistering scoring. For the ladies who have

time, once all the presents are bought and if the weath- er behaves there will be an on-going 9 hole competition. A very Merry Christmas

and a happy New Year to all our members.
