I mean volunteers, who are look- ing at a chance to play foot- ball, and don the club jer- sey for one last time! The incentive is that this will be your chance to play on our new all weather forest pitch and it’s all in the name of a good cause. There will be celebrity managers and


players taking part on the day and while more details will be revealed at a later date, one key aspect of the day has been nailed down - there will be no new jer- sey’s used on the day. No, none of these tight fitting, 6 Pac revealing, skin tight jerseys. Chief organiser Donal Walsh assures us that older, looser and bag- gier jerseys will be used on the day to spare the ex retirees blushes. These jerseys are currently being rigorously stretched as we

by all at a recent cookery fundraiser hosted by one of our coaches, Justin Ryan, at his home to raise funds for our club. Justin is a professional cookery in- structor and chef and was delighted to use his skills to aid the clubs fundraising efforts. All of the guests were treated to a


glass of prosecco or a soft drink of their choice on arrival. Once all the guests had arrived Justin started the demon- stration by serving a Jerusalem arti- choke soup with sage beurre noisette


and roasted hazelnuts, followed by easy pizzas. For mains, with a seasonal fla- vour, they were treated to Soy and hon- ey glazed turkey meatballs, Asian slaw and orange and ginger sprouts. For desert Justin demonstrated an orange Pannetone trifle and a mango, pineap- ple and meringue platter, and to finish spiced chocolate truffles were served. Everyone got taster portions of the
