Council Switch Off Lights In Youghal To Save Money And Energy

health and safety has prompted Independ- ent Councillor Mary Linehan Foley to call on Cork County Council to reverse its policy of switching off street lights in the district. Statutory business was
suspended for a time at the East Cork Munici- pality this week, as street lights on a busy Youghal junction were switched off to save cash. Cllr Linehan Foley said the

Killeagh’s Kathleen Celebrates 100th

marriage to Jack O’Regan at the age of 25 years, she moved to Gortnagappagh, Killeagh where she still re- sides. On Saturday night last the spritely Centenari-

being made of her, and obviously enjoying every second of the celebrations, Kathleen told The East Cork Journal that she contributes her longevity
to living in the country, working hard, and being surrounded always by the love of her family. Happy Birthday Kath-
