DAY 5-10: Penguins, Icebergs, Seals and Whales Antarctica is sure to overwhelm, with endless white horizons, icebergs, whales and close encounters with huge colonies of penguins. Go ashore to explore impressive Antarctic scenery, experience diverse wildlife, glaciers and old whaling stations. You are in one of the most remote parts of the world and the spectacular sensations are non-stop. We land several times. Among the sites we may visit are Half Moon Island, Yankee Harbour and Cuverville Island, home to a large colony of Gentoo penguins. Paradise Harbour received its name from the whalers who came here long ago. When the storms were at their worst, this is where they

DAY 17: Sail North to Montevideo Disembark in Montevideo, a city of charming sophistication and surprising cultural diversity. Explore the Uruguayan capital before flying home.

We offer one southbound and one northbound expedition. Text above describes the northbound journey. The southbound journey has a stop in Puerto Madryn.
