DAY 1: Exciting and Diverse The capital of Chile is exciting and diverse. See Andean glaciers at the city’s edge, skyscrapers and colonial architecture. Your adventure starts with an overnight hotel stay in Santiago.
DAY 2: Embarking on the Expedition Fly to Punta Arenas and board MS Roald Amundsen for our Antarctic expedition.
DAY 3: Chilean Fjord, Cruising through the Beagle Channel The infamous Drake Passage is where two oceans meet and is known as either Drake Lake or the Drake Shake, depending on sea condi- tions. Join our presentations on the history and wildlife of Antarctica. As we cross the Antarctic Convergence, the air becomes crisper and colder. Antarctic penguins begin to appear in the water, and the first icebergs drift by.
DAY 4-5 Cape Horn Landing and Drake Passage Our journey takes us below the Antarctic Circle. We will land at Cape Horn if weather permits.
DAY 6-14: Endless White Wilderness When opportunities arise, we will launch our kayaks and take you on unforgettable hikes to explore this pristine, white continent. We may visit Deception Island, where you can hike, and Half Moon Island, a photographer’s paradise. Count on seeing an astonishing number of ice- bergs and penguins. Join an ice cruise in small boats on Lemaire Channel and set foot on the Antarctic mainland at Neko Harbour. And we will attempt to cross the Antarctic Circle and make our southernmost landing at Stonington Island, if conditions allow. This is an adventure few others can claim!
DAY 15: Recapping the Journey After several amazing days in Antarctica, we summarise everything experienced so far. Spend some time on deck looking for wildlife and join lectures to learn more about our next destination - the Falkland Islands.
DAY 16-18: Ye Olde England Having just visited Antarctica, it may seem surreal to see a town resembling rural England,
