Raffard coupling Te Raffard coupling is refers to a linked type or pin type coupling. Te Raffard coupling has equally distanced (evenly spaced) holes drilled at different PCD’s (Pitch Circle Diameters) on each flange into which pins are pop. The leather or rubber bands have a two-fold advantage:
• Tey couple each pair of pins together, and • insulate the machine or engine from the electrical current that flows from the motor.
Tis type of coupling is flexible and allows a large range of radial and axial movement.
