Optic-Kleer John Speare


John has been an Optic-Kleer franchisee for nearly five years. His area comprises his hometown Bury St Edmunds, together with Newmarket, Thetford and Diss.


What was your background prior to joining Optic-Kleer? I initially had a long career in retail management with a major supermarket before embarking on a path of business- to-business sales with a large American communications company. I believe both of these professions gave me excellent grounding and the necessary skill set to be successful with Optic-Kleer, for example


What advice do you have for anyone thinking about running a franchise? Go for it! Optic-Kleer really works. I think that anybody, male or female, young or old, can have a successful franchise if they have the drive and ambition to run their own business.

How has the business been so far? One of the great benefits of the Optic- Kleer business is that they have national agreements in place with many of the UK’s largest supermarket and DIY chains including Tesco, Morrisons and B&Q. This means I literally ‘hit the ground running’; I started earning from day one and have never looked back.


What are some of the advantages in being an Optic-Kleer franchisee? There are many, but the one that stands out for me is that you have the complete freedom of essentially running your own business without direct interference, but


How has your lifestyle changed? Absolutely, I am definitely more relaxed and less stressed which is good for me, good for my wife and good for the whole family. I really don’t miss the corporate world and feel as if I have finally got my work-life balance just right.


Why do you think that Optic-Kleer would be a great opportunity for someone? Right now, I think that Optic-Kleer has never been a more inviting proposition for potential franchisees. It is well established with an excellent reputation; it’s growing rapidly with franchisees joining the business in numbers increasing the national coverage. In addition, the launch of the new interactive website will really drive further increases in the customer base.
