later extended to cover a new range of ATM products, such as cash-in capability, utility bill payments, mobile phone top- up, and cash loan repayment. At the start of 2017, Agribank reported it had updated its entire EMV network, including ATMs and POS terminals, which function using solutions from Compass Plus. As mentioned, other Vietnamese banks have also implemented TranzWare. Global Petro Bank (GP Bank) went live in Autumn 2013, migrating its cards, ATM and POS terminal networks. The bank, with 80 branches at the time of the cut-over, was originally set up in 2005 as Ninh Binh Rural Bank.


In Q1 2014, Compass Plus gained its first customer in Indonesia, Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional (BTPN). The deal was gained via the vendor’s local distributor, PT Infogram Telemedia. The bank signed to migrate its legacy switch and card processing platform to the TranzWare product suite. The first phase of the project, covering magnetic stripe card issuing, ATM management and card personalisation, went live in April 2014. The second phase will see the bank issue EMV cards and is set for completion by the end of 2015. In 2016, Compass Plus implemented a number of projects


using TranzWare, including: Mutual Trust Bank in Bangladesh, one of the top five retail banks in the country, migrating its in- house processing centre to TranzWare; PRASAC, the largest microfinance institution in Cambodia, launching remote banking services; Asia United Bank, a Philippine-based universal bank, launching new credit card products on the platform. In 2017, Lipetskcombank in Russia launched mobile banking platform based on Tranzware. As part of

implementation, the bank is able to offer remote payments, card & accounts management and access to information on android and iOS apps. Lipetskcombank is an existing customer for Compass Plus. In January 2018, Russia based Center-invest Bank launched a new mobile banking application built on TranzWare Mobile Banking. The application built for Android and iOS, allows the bank’s customers to receive information on cards, accounts, deposits and loans, make transfers and utility payments, and pay for telecommunication services. In the same month, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank), announced the successful migration of its debit card transactions to the TranzWare suite.


TranzAxis Neyva Bank in Russia was an early taker of TranzAxis,


where the platform was implemented to launch the actual bank. Neyva Bank required a reliable and easily customisable system to enable the bank to develop and implement new products and services quickly. The first stage of the project went live in April 2011, culminating in the certification of the processing centre by Visa and the commencement of

the issuance of corporate bank cards. The second phase of the project saw the development and implementation of a full service retail banking system (including debit and credit accounts and bank cards). Since then, Neyva Bank has also launched a virtual prepaid Visa card that can be issued at its ATMs – a project that took just 15 man-days from concept to go live.


Another taker is SwitchMaster, a Russia-based payment


processor launched in H2 2011. In early 2013, SwitchMaster’s platform recorded its first performance peak: over one million transactions in the first ten days of February. TranzAxis also gained Global Processing Centre (GPC), the


third largest processor in the Caribbean region, as a customer in 2013. GPC upgraded its platform to TranzAxis to enable it to considerably expand its transaction processing portfolio. The platform has also enabled GPC to offer SugaPay, an alternative payments system which links a payment card to a mobile phone to offer a variety of cashless payment options for cardholders and merchants. Leading European online payment provider, Klarna,


became a TranzAxis customer in 2014. The project aimed to support further global expansion for Klarna, future proof the business through the implementation of an open platform, and provide a flexible and customisable third party solution that would enable quick and easy system development. It took less than six months to implement the platform and launch the first UK merchant customer. Today, TranzAxis manages all Klarna accounts and settlement with merchants, acquirers and banks. Klarna has also recently launched a cloud-hosted service in the US through TranzAxis and went live with its first customer in the US in September 2015. The online payment provider is hoping to migrate its existing customer base from its in-house system to the new platform in the near future. TranzAxis is also used by a number of other FIs across Russia, the Middle East, LATAM and Europe.
