by Huebner Fishery Management Foundation When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant peach across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.

Pre-Summer Kayaking Why not rewind during the end of the season with a short pad- dle along the shoreline of Round Lake? Never tried kayaking, no problem! We welcome all skill levels, emphasizing on safety, ba- sic knowledge of paddling techniques, plus enjoyment! Kayaks, paddles, and PFDs are provided. Registration deadline one week prior. Seniors All Aboard! This relaxing and scenic trip will take you around the waters of Round Lake, with a guide showing you points of interest as well as some historical notes of this natural gem! This program is sponsored by the Huebner Fishery Management Foundation, which aims to promote safe environments of water recreation ac- tivities through public opportunities and education, among other agendas. Round Lake Spring Clean Up Our 12th annual spring clean-up of Round Lake is around the cor- ner! Volunteers and groups of all ages and skills are encouraged to participate. We will start at Bengson Park in Round Lake Park (across the street from the RLP Village Hall) and work around the to Lakefront Park in Round Lake Beach ending at around eleven for lunch. Do stick around for the annual Family Fishing Event the same day! Necessary clean-up equipment will be provided. Wearing sturdy lake shoes is highly recommended. PD Contact: Christine Kustra.
This event is organized by the Round Lake Management Commission, whose mission is to provide a safe, clean, and pleasant lake for the enjoyment of all area residents.
