In accordance with the Illinois’ “Access to Fishing” fishing pole loaner program, we will provide for you a pole, a lead-free tackle packet and fishing guide at no charge! Poles are to be checked out at the Prairie Grass Nature Museum during open hours. Supplies are available for a 2-week check out peri- od. Dragonflies in the Sky What is that big, beautiful bug zipping through the sky? It’s a dazzling dragonfly! We’ll learn about dragonflies and damselflies, and then we’ll make our own dragonfly to take home. Dress for the weather and some possible pond exploration (depending on weather). Min/Max: 3/10. Fishing Camp hosted by Chicago Fishing School Huebner Fishery Management Foundation is happy to announce the Chicago Fishing School will be coming to help your child land plenty of fish out at Round Lake. Equipment and gear will be pro- vided to your child. Be sure they dress for the weather for this spring season camp. Science, demonstrations, and hands-on catching will be on the agenda for the day. Residential Shoreline Restoration Grant


From the Huebner Fishery Management Foundation


The residents that have property on Round Lake play an integral part on the overall health of Round Lake. With this in mind, The District will offer an annual grant in the amount of $2,000 to a resident on Round Lake to assist them with the shoreline restoration of their property. The District will develop a list of criteria that must be met to receive the funding through an annual application process. Check www.rlapd.org for application or call 847-546-8558.
