• Attitude Pictures, New Zealand - Robyn Scott Vincent- CEO We entered the co-production project with the objective of finding a subject where we could express shared vision. Our decision to portray the resilience of Japanese people in the aftermath of the 2011 Tsunami delivered a simple yet human story of ordinary people rebuilding their lives. The project very much resonated with New Zealanders recovering from a major earthquake. Whereas we thought there might be great differences in our style we discovered that our partners share the same creative passion we do and it was much easier than expected (except for too much footage to choose from!).

The greatest outcome for us is the new friendships and our firm intention to work together on other concepts. We thank the Japanese Government for this concept which has clearly brought our two production communities together.

• NTV Nepal - Tanka Upreti-Executive Producer I am delighted in completion of the 1ASIA 2014 project! It is very important in terms of exploring the new content, sharing the professional skills and

experiences between the partners, better understanding each other and searching for new avenues for the future partnership. The challenges are to properly understand and realize the sensitivity of each other between the partners, implement them in real life and maintain the high professional standard in the production.

• TVRI Indonesia - Ahmad Zakaria- Producer First, I would like to thank ABU, Bang Production, MIC, Dentsu and all parties involved for all the supports and giving us this wonderful opportunity to learn and experience the co- production with our partner from the Japan broadcaster. We are so honored to have been part of this co-production.

The most memorable moments for me was to have experienced making filming in the cold weather, it was quite a physical challenge for me and my team as we have never experienced working during the winter session, with the temperature below zero degree at Shiga Prefecture.

But, I would like to say that my team and I, we enjoyed every single moment during the co-production. There were

nothing but joys and fun we had with the MBS team during conducting the filming and other activities we had together.

We had a good team work, fully supportive, very helpful and dedicated MBS team which has been wonderful during the production.

Last but not least, I would like to say that it’s always a brilliant learning experience, and we look forward to have another co-production with other broadcasters in the future.

• RTM, Malaysia- Ms Norliza Ali, Director of Programming 1Asia 2014 brings fresh ideas and a fruitful collaboration among Asian countries. The co-productions were not only entertaining but informative as well.

•VTV, Vietnam - Mr Nguyen Trung Kien, Head of Division, International Cooperation Dept. This is a very meaningful international cooperation project. We were motivated by Japanese crew’s experiences and cultural exchanges with them. Thanks to the project, we learned more about cooperation and film coordination.
