Study the practical aspects of Sports Law, Entertainment Law and International Intel- lectual Property Law in one of Europe’s most popular and beautiful cities. Barcelona is known for its art, nightlife, food and beautiful beaches. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona is the capital of Catalunya, Spain’s most politically progressive community.


Study in beautiful El Escorial, Spain, located in the foothills of the Guadarrama Moun- tains, about 45 minutes from Madrid. Tuition includes double-occupancy hotel room, buffet breakfast, mid-day meal, and use of a sports facility for 31 days. Six, three-credit courses will be offered; students must enroll in two of the six available courses.


All students will be enrolled in four separate one-credit hour courses that focus on comparative and international law issues. Classes will generally meet during the morn- ings, Monday-Thursday, leaving afternoons and three-day weekends free for social events and travel. The class will meet on one Friday to visit legal institutions, such as Spanish courts and other legal institutions.


The Madrid Summer Law Institute is a four-week, five-credit summer law program in Madrid, Spain. The program is open to law students, graduate students, and legal professionals from around the world. Classes meet only on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., giving students ample opportunity to experience life in Europe.


The mission of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3) is to contribute to the improve- ment of society by offering quality education and carrying out advanced research in accor- dance with demanding international criteria. Spanish proficiency is required.
