This three-week program, taught by Irish faculty, includes European Union Law, Inter- national Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, and International Human Rights Law. Classes meet 9:00 to 1:30 Tuesdays through Fridays, and Mondays from 12:30 to 5:30 to maximize the free time of the students’ weekends. Fees cover teaching materials, tuition, hous- ing, and various dinners and receptions.
The first two weeks of classes are held on the beautiful campus of the University of Limerick. The final week is at the University College Dublin, a short bus ride from Dublin’s city center. Weekends will feature a tour of the Cliffs of Moher, a visit to the Western city of Galway, two nights in city center Dublin, a pub dinner, and a ‘legal Dublin’ tour of prominent Irish legal institutions.
Quinnipiac School of Law operates a summer program at Trinity College in Dublin. Faculty from Quinnipiac and Trinity teach courses on Irish, international, and comparative law. The program, now in its 20th year, includes visits to Irish legal institutions, including the Four Courts and King’s Inns.
Galway, a vibrant cultural center on the west coast of Ireland, is home to the National University of Ireland, site of this six-week program. Taught by experts in international and human rights law from the U.S. and Ireland. Housing in university campus apart- ments, visits to Irish courts, social events, field trips, a dinner cruise up the River Corrib, and a trip to the Aran Islands are included.
