This combined with the system’s resistance to penetration, which eliminated the need for a root barrier, enabled rapid project progression, with the work being completed four weeks early.

New Robust Details for Concrete Floors
Thermal Economics Ltd. have announced the issue of two of their new Robust Details; EFC-9 and EFC-10, which employ the 3mm thick Isorubber Top product as fixed resilient surface treatment for concrete floors. Isorubber Top is a sustainable material made from granulated reclaimed rubber and cork. These two new Robust Details provide simple low cost acoustic solutions for virtually all the more commonly used insitu and precast plank type concrete floors with extensive options of flanking walls; including prefab cladding. Both systems are able to provide three Sustainable Home credits by virtue of their exceptionally high acoustic performance. Isorubber Top is suitable for use as underlayment for most types of hard and soft floor coverings including ceramic tiles. For the Robust Detail applications it has been extensively tested in combination with laminate flooring.
