Changes Prove That 3 into 1 Will Go
Recticel Insulation Products has announced a change to its product range which will simplify the task of choosing the correct insulation board for a specific task. The company’s Eurosarking, Eurowall TF and Eurofloor boards are to be replaced by a single product – Eurothane GP – which will be suitable for all the applications previously covered by the three original products. At the same time as reconfiguring the range, Recticel has also taken the opportunity to improve the thermal performance of the new Eurothane GP board to provide an improved lambda value of 0.022.

Integrated Heating Set to Change Heating Forever 'A' Rated Windows Now Available from Schueco UK
In order to meet the increasing demand for 'greener' construction products, Schueco UK Limited is now offering a Green Guide 'A' rated option across its range of AWS aluminium commercial casement and tilt/turn windows. The 'A' commercial window rating is arrived at by measuring the environmental impact of a product in thirteen category areas: these include the extraction of the raw material needed to make it, its implications for climate change and the way in which it may be disposed of at the end of its life. ’A' rated windows are one of the ways to score additional credits in buildings constructed under the Building Research Establishment's BREEAM Scheme which takes a holistic approach to sustainable design.

Selectaglaze Secondary Glazing for a Comfortable and Sustainable Future
English Heritage is clear that traditional sash windows in Listed buildings should not be replaced with double glazed units. However, where there is a need to improve energy conservation, secondary glazing is an acceptable solution. At this year’s 100% Design, Selectaglaze will be displaying their new minimalist hinged casement “Heritage” system which will fit onto the staff bead and will allow shutters to remain fully operational.
Established in 1966 and a Royal Warrant Holder since 2004, Selectaglaze is the UK’s leading secondary glazing specialist, with a wealth of experience working on buildings up to Grade 1 listed. The company offers a technical and specification advisory service to ensure the correct interface with other trades. Programmes are particularly important and proactive site surveys, linked to a modern production facility working on “Lean Principles”, ensure projects are delivered on schedule and work can be phased to suit budgets. Windows arrive fully prefabricated so they can be fitted quickly and with very little disruption to the building or its occupants.
Stand visitors will be able to collect copies of Selectaglaze’s comprehensive range of literature including their “Building Energy Performance” and “High Performance Noise Insulation” data sheets and “Windows Protection Systems” Brochure. For those unable to visit the Show, copies are available from selectaglaze.
