Hunter Douglas has received accreditation from RIBA for a new CPD presentation entitled Intelligent Sun Control Solutions. The presentation is designed to help architects and specifiers gain a clearer understanding of how modern external sun control systems work, how to decide which type of system works best for a specific building, and how new technology has created systems that are more flexible and more intelligent than ever before. Architects and other construction professionals are now able to request a presentation from Hunter Douglas, which will count towards their individual CPD qualifying requirement. Andrew Lee, general manager of Hunter Douglas Sun Control & Façades in the UK and Ireland, said: “Sun control is now more important than ever, so it’s essential that we get it right.

Forbo Flooring Systems is offering specifiers an opportunity to expand their knowledge of the new design features, benefits and extended range of applications for Flotex, its unique range of flocked floor coverings, by attending its RIBA certified CPD seminar.
is by far the most significant. Klober’s new CPD presentation ‘The Code for Sustainable Homes and airtightness in roofs’ which is now available online examines how to ‘build tight and ventilate right’ within the realms of practical pitched roofing construction. It evaluates the use of air barriers, vapour control layers (AVCLs), vapour permeable roofing underlays and sealing products such as tapes, sealants & collars. The online presentation was approved by the Construction CPD Certification Service and enables browsers to view it on demand. Validation is by means of an interactive exam which uses a bank of randomly changing questions. Tel: 01509 500660

The hour long seminar entitled “Electrostatically flocked floor coverings: Genuine innovation with unique design and performance characteristics”, looks at the composition of Flotex and shows how specifiers can deliver the warmth, comfort and slip resistance of a textile floor with the durability and hygienic performance of a resilient floor.
It explores why Forbo’s flocked floor finish, with its unique combination of benefits, is so frequently specified throughout the healthcare, education and retail sectors.
The seminar also covers the very latest advances in manufacturing technology, including new digital printing techniques, which have paved the way for a new generation of high definition designs, vivid colouration and styling options, that make Flotex right on trend for today’s commercial interiors.
This is just one of six RIBA certified CPD seminars now offered by Forbo Flooring Systems.
