Holophane’s Ratio Delivers LED Lighting with Style
Holophane’s new Ratio exterior luminaire combines the latest energy-saving LED lighting technologies with a contemporary design to deliver a stylish, robust, low maintenance solution for lighting a wide range of outdoor spaces. Ratio uses 48 LEDs to provide a light output (10,500 lumens) equivalent to a 100-150W metal halide lamp, with a correlated colour temperature of 6,500K.
The Philips Lumileds LEDs offer a 50,000 hour life at 1,000mW with 70% lumen maintenance, thus greatly reducing maintenance requirements and cost of ownership. As well as making a bold architectural statement, the ultra thin finned design also serves as a heat sink to optimise the LED performance. Thermal management is further facilitated by housing the driver module in the base of the column.
Precise optical control is achieved through the deployment of individual acrylic optical lenses that influence each LED independently. As a result, Ratio is highly versatile with a choice of symmetrical and asymmetrical light distributions to suit each space. Ratio has ingress protection to IP65 and is available as a complete lighting solution with Holophane’s bespoke conical steel and conical aluminium columns. It has been fully tested at temperatures ranging from -30°C to +30°C and is ideal for use in amenity areas, car parks, pedestrian zones, town squares, shopping precincts and corporate frontages.
