Page 41 New Target Connectors from Mill-Max

Oyster Bay, NY — Mill-Max is introducing a selec- tion of new target connectors and pins. These com- ponents are used in place of SMT pads on a PCB as the mating surface for spring-loaded pins. The new series is being offered in 0.100-in. (2.54mm) and 2mm grid connectors as well as new discrete pins for a wide range of applications. Combining target connectors with spring-

loaded connectors on opposing boards can be a sim- ple and convenient solution for making connec- tions between stacked boards or docking stations and devices. The company’s new line of 2mm pitch target connectors are designed to mate with its re- cently released 836 and 838 series single and dou- ble row 2mm pitch spring-loaded connectors. Both through-hole and SMT terminations with the SMT products packaged on tape and reel are being of- fered. This product family includes choices for con- nectors with flat or concave face con- tact surfaces. Concave face targets pro- vide additional surface area for mating and can aid in centering/alignment of components and/or boards fitted with spring-loaded connectors. As a complement to existing

0.100-in. (2.54mm) grid through-hole and SMT target connectors, the compa- ny is introducing three new series of connectors with targets with concave faces — single- and double-row through-hole and double-row SMT. Also being introduced are four discrete target pins well suited for mat-

The overall safety culture of the company was changed; our drivers think more in terms of being safer drivers, so everyone wins. I cannot emphasize enough how important we feel that the change in mind-set is, going beyond simple compliance.” Clay Skelton, Founder and Pres-

with little regard for safety. For those companies that have implemented our solution, they have not only saved lives and money, but have actually changed the mind-set of their drivers to a more responsible and safety-con- scious awareness of their own driving habits. And we feel that this is the greatest benefit of all.” Contact: Garcia Roofing and

ing with the company’s larger spring-loaded pins such as the 0861-0 and 0871-0, which have 0.092- in. (2.34mm) diameter plungers. There are two through-hole pins, one with a flat contact surface (1946-0) and one with a concave contact surface (1945-0). These pins are characterized by a large

0.125-in. (3.17mm) diameter face, a 0.120-in. (3.05mm) aboveboard height, and a 0.030-in. (0.76mm) diameter tail. The SMT pins have the flat contact surface (1944-0) and concave contact surface (1943-0) options along with the 0.125-in. (3.17mm) diameter face and 0.120-in. (3.05mm) above board height. These SMT pins are available in bulk or packaged on tape and reel. All the pins are precision-machined and gold-

plated for environmental protection, durability and good conductivity. The connector insulators are molded from high temperature plastic suitable for most soldering process including RoHS environ- ments. All of these products are RoHS compliant. Contact: Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., 190 Pine Hol-
