Biggest innovation(s) in 2013 CWT is a pioneer in promoting traveller well-being. One of the most forward thinking innovations in the past year has been the launch of the CWT Travel Stress Index (TSI) in April 2013. It is a robust survey that seeks to quantify the cost of the stress that employees can incur from travelling, and uses this information to help buyers make better and more informed travel policy decisions. 7,300 travellers and nine global businesses participated in the survey; 33 stress triggers were analysed from over 15.3 million trips, and CWT is currently in the process of patenting this research and technology. It produced an algorithm to measure and predict stress and time lost during travel, to help clients improve traveller well-being and increase corporate productivity. The TSI has been widely talked about in the press, creating an ongoing discussion about traveller well-being, and helped CWT win Best Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at the Business Travel Awards 2014.
