For the latest show news and updates follow #ISE2014 Single cable for HD simplicity ZEEVEE
New digital modulators from ZeeVee are being introduced at ISE 2014 to convert video sources such as satellite receivers, digital signage players and HD cameras into digital cable channels that are broadcast to an unlimited number of HDTVs. ZeeVee recently enhanced its line of digital video encoder/modulators, with the result that all members of the HDbridge 2000 Series and ZvPro family are now compatible with both DVB- T and DVB-C. This offers greater flexibility for deployment, according to the company. Now, in addition to demonstrations

of its current two, four and eight-channel DVB-T/C modulators, ZeeVee is previewing digital HD and SD HDbridge family members that it claims improve channel density and reduce cost. The company says that distributing HD over coaxial cabling scores over the initial cost and implementation time normally associated with alternative solutions such as CatX, HDMI and HDBaseT, as a single coaxial cable can be used to deliver hundreds of channels to an unlimited number of TVs. ZeeVee promotes the ability of its
broadcast technology to eliminate the need for special equipment, including transmit/receive devices or commercial displays, making the products ideal for digital signage deployments as

Multipurpose preamp promises advanced interface appeal RME
Making its ISE 2014 debut is the ‘all- purpose’ OctaMic XTC, a microphone, line and instrument preamp, high-end A/D converter, digital patch bay, format converter and monitoring device. With 24 channels I/O in Class Compliant
mode, RME claims that the XTC is also the most advanced interface ever built to work with the iPad. It requires Apple's Camera Connection Kit for this purpose. The preamp offers a very wide gain range, very low latencies and high EIN and signal-to-noise
ratios. There are eight microphone and line inputs, four switchable to Hi-Z mode, with a variety of digital connection protocols, from common ADAT and AES/EBU to sophisticated 64-channel MADI optical. All analogue and digital inputs, including up to 64 MADI, eight ADAT and eight AES/EBU audio channels, can be freely patched to any output. The full colour TFT display offers quickly accessible setup options. Full remote control support allows the unit to be as close to the analogue signal source as possible, while important settings

interface running TotalMix FX can remotely control the OctaMic XTC directly within the input channel strips of TotalMix. Stand: 7-C207
Black Diamond Rear-Pro Film is designed for in-window displays
Rearpro film offers 900% better contrast ratio
SCREEN INNOVATIONS
Black Diamond Rear-Pro Film is a diffusion rear projection film from Screen Innovations that can be applied to any transparent surface to create dynamic digital displays. It uses what the company describes as “the first and only multi- directional ambient light rejection projection screen technology”. Black Diamond Film encompasses a permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive and release liner for easy application. The company claims that it has unmatched light rejection, creating contrast levels ideal for retail and in-window displays, exhibits and tradeshows, corporate lobbies, boardrooms, houses of worship and even in home theatres.
Featuring a gain of 1.4 and delivering a claimed 900% better contrast ratio performance than typical projection screen materials, Black Diamond Rear-Pro Film – which comes in a maximum size of 60in x 99ft – can be ordered pre-laminated to glass or acrylic with a range of different frame designs based on the user’s specific needs. Pre-lamination to acrylic or
polycarbonate can create a perfect cylinder, according to Screen Innovations, eliminating the compound curve that most flexible screens inherit. In this form, it is said to be suitable for simulation and command and control where edge blending needs a perfectly symmetrical viewing surface. For custom installation, several mounting solutions are available from all-mount to cable systems. Stand: 1-N53
