Paddy Baker This year sees Paddy Baker


returning to the ISE Daily


editor’s chair for the


seventh consecutive occasion. He has been editor of Installation(formerly Installation Europe) since 2007, and has overseen its transition from a print-only title to a multifaceted media brand. Immediately prior to this he spent a couple of years at the helm of One to One, a title for the optical media manufacturing market. During his career he has edited and/or written for publications in diverse fields including factory operations, construction and civil engineering.


Fergal Ringrose Fergal Ringrose is currently a


freelance editor in the electronic


media technology marketplace. Until October 2013 he was editorial director of TVBEurope magazine and the TVB-E electronic newsletter, and also editorial director of The IBC Daily. He was also content director of TVBEurope’s two London conferences. Before helping to launch TVBEuropein 1993, he was a director of Production Industry Publications Ltd in Ireland, where he launched the country’s first AV business magazine, Playback, and the first guide to the Irish film and television production business, Ireland On Screen.


Monica Heck Monica Heck is a bilingual freelance


journalist and copywriter


based in Dublin,


Ireland and working internationally. She has been ‘in tech’ for nearly 15 years, in marketing before training as a journalist. Monica writes about broadcast, pro AV and IT in print and online. Aside from technology, she loves reading and writing about business, art, science and music. Her confusing Swiss-Irish genetic mix makes her the most organised laid-back person you’ll ever meet.


Ian McMurray Despite being an English literature,


graduate, Ian McMurray joined the


computer industry when 4K was enough memory to write a multi-user accounting suite. In 1996, however, he was asked to become European marketing manager for TI’s nascent DLP business, and was active in bringing the new technology to the attention of projector, display and TV manufacturers as well as potential end users throughout the region. He became a freelance writer in 2003, since which time he has contributed a monthly feature to Installationmagazine as well as writing extensively for the ISE Daily.


David Davies David Davies has been writing about professional AV and broadcast


technology for 14


years. He is managing editor of Sports Video Group (SVG) Europe and continues to contribute to a host of trade publications, including PSNEurope, PSNLive and Installation. He has also been a part of the team for The AES Daily, The IBC Daily and, since 2005, the ISE Daily, for which he served as executive editor (on-site) in 2013. In addition, he is active as a copywriter and sub-editor.


Michael Burns For the past 17 years Michael Burns has been a journalist,


copywriter and author working in the


design, film, broadcast and interactive sectors. Born in Glasgow and beginning his career on Macusermagazine, his work can be found in publications such as T

Broadcastand The IBC Daily, as well as British Cinematographer, Macuser, Macworld, Digital Arts, Computer Artsand 3D Artist– and more. He has had four books published covering digital art and multimedia production, does occasional work as a producer for digital agencies and keeps an online presence at www.firedbydesign.com.


Jeremy J Glowacki Jeremy Glowacki is a veteran


magazine editor, having worked for


numerous publications over his 20-year career. He co-founded Residential Systemsin 2000 and currently serves as editorial director of that monthly magazine as well as its sister publication Systems Contractor Newsand their websites, which are all owned by New York City-based NewBay Media. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Georgia and lives outside Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wife, two daughters, and beagle-basset hound mix.

Kirsten Nelson Kirsten Nelson is the editor of the US-based Systems


Contractor News (SCN). She has


written about the AV integration business for 15 years and has served as a keynote speaker and panelist for several industry events. Nelson received the 2013 WAVE Mentor Award for her support of the AV industry. She also serves as the editor of Healthcare AVand the InfoComm Daily, and she is the managing editor of the CEDIA Daily. She co-launched Residential Systemsmagazine in 2000, and served as assistant editor for Medialinefrom 1998 to 2000.
