NEWS VTX line arrays added JBL PROFESSIONAL (HARMAN)
A premium line of two-way multipurpose loudspeakers, the VTX F Series, is being introduced by Harman’s JBL Professional. The product line adds to the company’s range of VTX Series line arrays.
The F Series includes three models: the F12 and F15 full- range loudspeakers and the F18S subwoofer. The VTX F12 and F15 loudspeakers feature the large- format JBL D2 dual diaphragm dual driver employed in the VTX V25 fullsize line array loudspeaker and the M2 Master Reference Monitor. All F Series models also feature JBL’s lightweight, high- power Differential Drive transducer technology. The VTX F12 is a biamplified
two-way enclosure that features a
Progressive Transition Waveguide (90º x 50º) and the 2262H 12in diameter (3in) dual voice coil, neodymium Differential Drive, Direct Cooled transducer. It features power handling (AES 2-hour) of 1,000W continuous, 4,000W peak (low frequency) and 200W continuous, 800W peak (high frequency).
The F15 is a biamplified two- way enclosure that features a Progressive Transition Waveguide (90º x 50º) and the 2265H 15in diameter (3in) dual voice coil, neodymium Differential Drive, Direct Cooled transducer. It offers power handling (AES 2-hour) of 1,000W continuous, 4,000W peak (low frequency) and 200W continuous, 800W peak (high frequency). Getting creative with LED displays
CREATELED
Designed as a backdrop for DJ touring, TV studios, creative stage design and fashion shows for both fixed installations and rental/ staging, the AirBLADE-15 indoor LED display can be seen on the CreateLED stand. According to CreateLED, almost
any resolution can be configured simply by adding or removing ‘blades’, such that an AirBLADE can be used for applications from free form video through creative lighting effects to architectural design.
Using black face or black body 3-in-1 SMDs, each LED strip measures 1,000mm x 30mm x 38mm and weighs 0.44kg (9kg/sqm), with a resolution of 64 x 2 pixels (15.6mm pitch). CreateLED says that the AirBLADE has a very short minimum viewing distance. Brightness is 1,200 nits, with a horizontal
viewing angle of 160° and a vertical angle of 50°. Sixteen- bit processing delivers 281 trillion colours. Mechanical or magnetic fastening options are available to facilitate quick, simple installation and removal.

range of creative LED displays from the company that includes the AirFLEX, AirFLOOR, AirWING and StepLED – is designed to be a visually appealing structure whether viewed from the front, back or side. Stand: 11-M36
amplifier management systems, while both models also include BSS Audio OmniDriveHD V5 processing and JBL HiQnet Performance Manager control. The F12 and F15 also deliver installation features including a pole-mount socket, four NL4 connectors for discrete cabling, 14 M10 mount points and an optional universal bracket. The VTX F18S is a subwoofer in a compact form factor for drum/DJ monitoring and small/medium format front- of-house applications. Stand: 1-N34

Debut for high output array MARTIN AUDIO
The third generation of the Multicellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) control technology is being introduced to the installation market at ISE 2014. MLA Mini offers a budget price and ultra-compact footprint, light weight and specialised design. As an example illustration of
the system capabilities, it is said that a 12-box array has a throw of 35m to deliver live music in venues of 750- 1,000 people.
At the heart of MLA Mini is the MSX mini-sub power plant, which complements the main system and houses the amplification, networking and DSP necessary to power and control itself and four MLA Mini enclosures. Each MLA Mini enclosure houses two 165mm/ 50mm voice coil LF drivers and a vertical column of three 35mm aluminium dome HF drivers on a 100º horizontal
Educational AV highlighted WANIN

VGA interfaces and capable of supporting multiple screen resolutions, audio formats and video formats, it also has two USB interfaces and can be used with a USB keyboard, mouse or external storage. Portable and desktop versions are available. Wanin is also highlighting its
extensive range of visualisers. With built-in WiFi and full support for Apple and Android mobile devices, they offer a range of capabilities including 1080p output, a dual HDMI interface, built-in whiteboard software and microphone (for recording of lessons or
presentations) and support for streaming media presentations. The company also offers a family of interactive touch screens, using both infrared and optical technologies for the interface. Available screen sizes are 55in, 65in and 70in. Founded in 2001, Wanin
occupies a 10,000sqm production and R&D facility and employs around 1,000 people. Its educational product offering also includes interactive whiteboards and associated software, mobile screens, recording systems and more. Stand: 1-E108
dispersion horn. The system can be flown, ground-stacked or pole-mounted. The 380mm reflex-loaded MSX can be integrated into flown arrays or ground-stacked separately.
In the simplest configuration, four MLA Minis can be pole-mounted above the MSX with precisely
adjustable tilt angle, and function as a plug-and-play system, with the user recalling onboard presets instead of using computer control. At the other end of the scale, up to 16 MLA Minis can be flown in an array and powered by four ground-stacked MSX units. MSX also
contains nine channels of Class D
amplification to provide cellular drive while the onboard DSP interacts with proprietary Display2.1 intelligent software for accurate array optimisation. With each individual cell under software control, the company said that ‘hard-avoid’ areas can also be programmed in to reduce sound spill, and vertical coverage can be fine-tuned electronically in-situ without the need to re- rig the array. Arrays and
MSX units can be remotely controlled from a laptop or wireless tablet running Vu-Net control software, so eliminating trial and error tuning. Stand: 7-K175
