The new release of Classcomm Cloud, an online learning assessment software, has been announced by ISE newcomer Genee World to support anytime, anywhere learning.

The Cloud-based assessment

product allows teachers to create assessment content and tests, which can then be published online. The tests can be made up of a combination of multiple choice-based or text and numeric responses. Additional images and diagrams can be added to support the questions.

The content is stored in the Cloud and students can access this content at home or in school via a browser, in their own time. Teachers can also set deadlines by which the tests must be completed, after which time the tests expire and are no longer accessible to students. The tests can be done on

Android, Windows or Apple tablets or on a desktop computer. The results from these tests automatically get forwarded to the teacher, who can analyse them to pinpoint gaps in the student’s understanding of a subject. Stand: 3-A108

WaveDynamics amps promise a smooth ride

AUDAC

The new Audac SMA and SMQ Series of 2- and 4- channel power amplifiers include the new WaveDynamics digital signal processor in combination with a 2.5in LCD display that is claimed to give “an unmatched user experience with intuitive functions overview for easy configuration”. Acoustics can be optimised using the filters selectable between Low/High & Band Pass and the 7-Band equaliser, which both have adjustable frequencies and Q-factor. Other provided functions are delay (for time- alignment of different speakers) and dynamic bass boost. These settings can be custom- configured using the amplifier’s

front panel, whereby access can be given in two different levels (User & Administrator) using password or USB-key protection. Loudspeaker protection is provided by an output power limiter, where maximum output power (in watts) for every channel can be configured. Full system configurations can be selected from a library, which includes loudspeaker performance parameters, and uploaded with a USB drive.

The lightweight Class-D amplifiers are available in 350W, 500W and 750W versions and incorporate flexible input and output configuration; XLR and terminal block source compatibility; and RS-232 control. Stand: 4-U35

LED controller is upgraded LINSN TECHNOLOGY

The RV901 from LED control specialist Linsn Technology is an upgrade for the RV801 and adds significant new functionality, including support for 12-bit HDMI colour, 18-bit signal processing, single card space conversion, configuration file readback, and hot back-up with dual receiver cards for screens operating in demanding environments. According to Linsn

Technology, it also provides support for pixel fault detection, two-line fan speed monitoring, temperature and humidity monitoring, and –

with a module sold separately – smoke monitoring. Like the RV901, the RV907 is an

upgraded version of its predecessor, and the positioning of its mounting holes make it a drop- in replacement. To achieve higher refresh rates, the RV907 now features four interfaces, each of which has up to six groups of

parallel data. It can also provide 16 groups of serial data for LED lighting and LED curtain applications. Its use of an 18-bit signal processor enables it to support 260,000 grey levels for each of three colours. Linsn’s hardware is supported by LED Studio, which the company says is well liked by its users. A number of languages are available including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Russian, while further language support is planned. Roland Ollek,

KVM technology has considerable and extensive potential. Often, KVM plays its important role in the background without being noticed at all. But nowadays KVM equipment must meet the requirements of a management tool – and not just be a switching or extension device. The major driver for KVM business is certainly resolution. We are already providing 4K resolution so that AV

hardware becomes a control centre as well as a supervisory body.

What we consider our key opportunity is the fact that our devices carry an enormous amount of knowledge and years of experience. To avoid failures, important components or configuration data are redundant. To guarantee a long mean time between failures, we are very conservative with component selection. Our devices undergo external tests to make sure they are also suitable for applications that must meet specific tests and standards, such as certification to Tempest requirements in public safety and military or specific standards for the

professionals are equipped with a future-proof video resolution. Due to the versatility and modularity of our systems, installations grow with the demands of their environment, giving our customers security for the future. In particular our digital KVM matrix, the ControlCenter-Digital, unites all functions of KVM extenders, KVM switches, add-on features and monitoring and

management functions in one system. It comes with encryption technology that protects your data from ‘friendly’ spies. Moreover, the ControlCenter-Digital is nominated for the InAVation Awards at this year’s ISE. Stand: 10-R116
